Krista M. Jones (AKA JONESY) is an Atlanta-based contemporary artist and muralist whose work is rooted in symbolism and guided by the belief that art can transform space and community. Her public murals energize city streets with bold color and pattern, while her studio paintings distill human experience into abstracted yet familiar forms. She earned a BFA from Columbus State University, though much of her growth as a painter has come through self-teaching and exploration. A recipient of multiple grants, her work has been exhibited nationally in galleries and museums, and her large-scale murals are prominent throughout Atlanta metro area. (photo credit: Brock Scott)
