Alison concepted and founded The Boxcar Grocer, as a way to increase food access in underserved areas. Her vision for an urban friendly, healthy convenient market launched in 2011 in Downtown Atlanta. She brought her brother on as co-founder, working together to provide an alternative model for food retail in low-density city neighborhoods. Quality design, equitable solutions, collaboration among communities, sustainable development, superior customer service, and commitment to wellness are the motivations behind her projects.
